Rhined Clubs
Can you make substitutions for items included? “I don’t like blue cheese.” or “I’m allergic to red wine.” etc.
Generally, no. Our selections are made well in advance, and part of the fun of Rhined Clubs is exploring new flavors including the ones you might not normally choose. On occasion, we can make a simple substitution, but we encourage you to embrace the full experience: discovering what you love (and maybe what you don’t).
How are the selections chosen?
All selections are hand chosen by our owner, Stephanie Webster, together with Meg Sharber, The Rhined’s Director of Operations. We choose what we’re genuinely excited about - the cheeses we’re craving and the wines we’re pouring at our own tables. Think seasonal, special, and things we can’t wait to share!
How long will items last?
Cheese will generally keep about 10 days, sometimes longer depending on the variety. Wine is more forgiving - it can last years if stored properly.
Can I give a Club as a gift?
Yes! Rhined Clubs make an amazing gift. At checkout, you can choose a fixed term (3 months, 6 months, 1 year) or set up an ongoing subscription. For gifting, we recommend choosing delivery (within the 275 loop) or shipping (outside the 275 loop) unless your recipient is often in OTR/Findlay Market.
When you sign up, you’ll provide your recipient’s email and phone number. Don’t worry, we won’t contact them until it’s time for their first pickup or delivery.
You’ll also receive a downloadable gift note (printable or emailable) that includes the club details, pickup/delivery method, and a link to these FAQs. It also shares Stephanie’s email for any questions.
Can I pause or skip a month?
Yes, you can make changes anytime to your club in Moonclerk. You can pause, skip a month, or even cancel at anytime.
Rhined Pick Up
When do I pick up my Rhined Club?
All Rhined Clubs are ready to pick up at The Rhined (1737 Elm Street) on the 1st of each month with a couple of exceptions:
In January, Rhined Clubs are ready to pick up on the first Saturday
If the 1st falls on a Monday, clubs will be ready on Tuesday the 2nd (we’re closed Mondays).
What if I can’t make it on the 1st?
No worries, really if you can make it on or before the 5th, you’re good! We cut all Cheese Club selections fresh on the 1st, so for the best experience, please plan to pick up within five days or so. After the 10th day, any unclaimed cheese will be discarded - we aren’t able to cut new cheese after that date. If you need to delay your pick-up? No problem! Just shoot me an email before the 1st of the month at stephanie@therhined.com and we’ll hold off on cutting your cheese.
What if I forget to pick up my club?
You receive several email reminders about club pick up - one from Moonclerk (the service who handles the subscription payment) as well as one from The Rhined. Please do not unsubscribe from The Rhined emails as you will no longer receive your pick up reminder/information. We put a lot of work into making sure you’re notified ahead of time about your club. Because we cut all cheese on the 1st, after the 10th day, any unclaimed cheese will be discarded - we aren’t able to cut new cheese after that date. If you need to delay your pick-up? No problem! Just shoot me an email at stephanie@therhined.com and we’ll hold off on cutting your cheese.
What is the pick up process like?
Just come into The Rhined during our open hours and let a team member know you’re there to pick up your Rhined Club! They’ll have all your info already and they’ll fetch your club for you!
Delivery
When will my Rhined Club be delivered?
All Rhined Clubs are delivered on the 1st of the month with a couple of exceptions:

If the 1st falls on a holiday in which The Rhined is closed, clubs will be delivered on the following day.
What if I’m not home?
No worries, you do not need to be home as long as you have a safe space to leave your Rhined Club like a front porch, etc. If your Rhined Club contains cheese, we’ll leave an ice pack if it’s warm out. We’ll also do our best to leave it out of any direct sun.
Will you remind me?
Yes! You’ll receive several reminders - one from Moonclerk (the service who handles the subscription payment) as well as one from The Rhined. Please do not unsubscribe from The Rhined emails as you will no longer receive your delivery reminder/information. You’ll also receive day of tracking via email and text.
What if I’m out of town?

We’re happy to reschedule your delivery for when you’re home — just email stephanie@therhined.com so we can fit you in our schedule!
We can have your club ready for pick up at The Rhined when you return.

Shipping
When will my Rhined Club ship?
All Rhined Clubs are shipped on the 1st Monday of each month unless the first Monday is a holiday - in that case, Rhined Clubs will ship on Tuesday.
How do you ship?
We ship UPS, 3-day ground. We ship Monday, you should have your club by Wednesday at the latest! We pack with lots of ice packs.
Will my cheese be okay?
Yes! We pack with lots of ice packs. Cheese is surprisingly resilient. Your ice packs might be close to room temp when you receive your club, but the cheese is okay! Just get it in the fridge as soon as you receive it!
What if I’m out of town?
